It seems Chelsea may lose out on Jules Kounde to Barcelona yet again.
The Blues had agreed personal terms with the Frenchman since last year, but Sevilla opted out of selling.
With Chelsea having seemed to be close to agreeing terms with Sevilla for the France international, Barcelona have again hijacked the transfer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have now agreed terms with Kounde over a transfer.
“Barcelona are now getting closer to Jules Koundé. Positive contacts also in the morning, personal terms are fully agreed with Koundé – working on final bid. #FCB
“Chelsea are tired of waiting for the green light – ready to explore other options if it doesn’t arrive soon.”
This development will surely infuriate Thomas Tuchel who’s keen on seeing new transfers at the club.
“My analysing of the season does not change because of this game. Unfortunately, it proved my point,” Tuchel said after 4-0 defeat to Arsenal.
“Last week proves my point. I would absolutely prefer not to be right. I did everything to prove myself wrong, but at the moment, I feel that I was right.
“I look at the last season and parts of the game where we struggled, parts of the season where we struggled, and then we got sanctioned and players left us and some players are trying to leave us, and this is where it is.
“So we had an urgent appeal for quality players, a huge amount of quality players. We got two quality players, but we are not competitive like this. Unfortunately, you could see it today.”
