Chelsea signed a new forward earlier this month, as the Blues paid £47.5m to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

Aside the move for Sterling, Chelsea also made a move to buy Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele.

Daily Star journalist Paul Brown has claimed Chelsea would still sign another forward this summer.

According to Brown, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a forward “of some kind” before the end of the summer transfer window.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: “The fact they were trying to get Raphinha and/or Dembele from Barcelona suggests that the manager wants another forward of some kind.

“They’re still looking in that area, and I think if they can find someone who fits, and the deal is possible, then they will do it.”

Tuchel has now said that he’s keen on strengthening the left side of his team.

“We are looking for guys who can play on the left side,” Tuchel stated.

“It is not only about bringing players in for numbers; we need numbers, we also need quality so we will make some decisions late, not only about players but also about systems. Ideally we would have a left-footer.”
