Manchester United legend Gary Neville has told Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong to sue Barcelona.
“De Jong should consider legal action [versus] Barcelona and all players should be behind him!” Neville posted on Twitter on Monday.
“A club spending fortunes on new players whilst not paying the ones they have under contract their full money is immoral and a breach.
“@FIFPRO should be all over bullying like this and stop it.”
Barcelona have indeed acted shamefully in this transfer market.
The Catalan club have tapped up Chelsea players, which eventually led to the departure of Andreas Christensen, and have tried to do same with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
The Spaniards have also used underhand tactics in luring Chelsea targets, but it’s a shame they cannot pay Frenkie de Jong his wages and want him to leave the club while owing two years of his wages.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has vowed not to do business with Barcelona this summer, following their poor showing of gamesmanship.
