Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel hasn’t hidden his frustration with Barcelona.
The two clubs have been at a loggerhead this summer in a deal involving players like Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde.
The Blaugrana have snapped up Andreas Christensen on a free transfer, and are also eyeing deals for Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
Barcelona beat Chelsea to the signing of Raphinha, as they frustrated Chelsea’s deal for the Brazilian.
Tuchel has now said he won’t let Azpilicueta join Barcelona this summer, admitting his anger with the Spanish club.
“Cesar Azpilicueta to Barcelona? I’m not sure I want to give Azpi what he wants…” Chelsea’s coach Thomas Tuchel has said.
“We have a Spanish international player, a captain, but Barcelona does not see it on that level, so I’m not sure if I want to give Azpilicueta what he wants.
“Maybe I’m a little bit annoyed with Barcelona. But I do my best for Chelsea. I said that to Azpilicueta, he doesn’t like it… but he understands. It is tough for him because the other club [Barca] is permanently on him.”
