Chelsea striker Armando Broja is pushing for an exit from Chelsea this summer.

The 20-year-old wants to be a key player next season after a fine season on loan with Southampton, and he doesn’t see that happening at Chelsea.

The Hammers are understood to have tabled a £30m offer to Chelsea for Broja, which includes an upfront payment of £25m plus an additional £5m in bonuses.

Reports claim Broja has returned to England in order to seal a transfer exit, but Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has played those talks down.

Tuchel has however said Broja returned to England due to the injury he sustained.

Tuchel told reporters: “Armando had to travel home. He had a little accident in training. He twisted his ankle and he needs further examinations and treatment in London.

“It did not make sense to just have him as an additional player because we need all capacities of treatment for the guys who are actually fit and on the pitch so the best way for him to get the best treatment and as soon as possible back on the pitch was to leave for London.”
