Deal of the year. Argentina superstar open to sign for Chelsea for free. Would Todd Boehly like a deal?

Chelsea have been given the opportunity to sign Argentina star Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.

Dybala was reportedly close to joining Inter Milan as a free agent before his contract talks with the Serie A side stalled.

The 28-year-old has departed Juventus after the expiration of his contract, and his agent has been offering him to clubs.

Chelsea are among a host of clubs that have been given the chance to sign up Dybala as a free agent.

It has also been reported that the Argentina star is ready to take a pay cut, despite his availability as a free agent.

“Dybala lowered his demands. Now you can get him for just €6m per season. As a free agent it’s the deal of the year,” reports journalist Angelo Mangiante.

The 28-year-old could play as a second striker or a centre-forward. He scored 15 goals and assisted 6 in 30+ appearances for Juventus last season.

Paulo Dybala had hinted last month that he will be interested in a move to Chelsea this summer after revealing he will like to play in the Premier League.

“I am quite calm, the people who I work with are taking care,” Dybala told ESPN.

“In Italy I am very comfortable. I would still like to know other leagues like the Premier League, LaLiga… but I’m happy in Italy.”

It’s yet to be seen if Chelsea would be interested in a deal for the Argentine forward.

As it stands now, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is only interested in signing players recommended by Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel has been given a much freer hand in the decision making, as regarding transfer signings.

Speaking in an interview (per Football. London), @siphillipssport has claimed that Chelsea will eye out-of-contract Juventus forward Paulo Dybala as an alternative if they fail to land Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Do you think Chelsea should consider a move for Dybala?
