Chelsea finished third in the 2021-22 season, and the Blues will definitely be looking to improve on that for next season.
Last season was tightly contested between Manchester City and Liverpool, with City ending the season with 93 points, while Liverpool closely followed with 92 points.
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has given his top four predictions for next season.
Gallas isn’t predicting any change to happen in the top three, but is expecting Tottenham to become stronger as well.
Spurs have signed up Richarlison and Yves Bissouma this summer, and Antonio Conte’s side are still expecting to wrap up some more deals.
Gallas believes that with Antonio Conte in charge, Tottenham will be a threat in the Premier League next season.
“I think they can cause trouble to the big clubs,” Gallas told Metro.co.uk for Genting Casino.
‘They will cause problems as they will be very strong this season, especially with the mentality of Antonio Conte.”
Gallas ended up backing Manchester City to win the title.
Asked for his tips for the top four this season, the Frenchman said: “I don’t want to, but I have to put [Manchester] City because they look like they are going to be very strong.
“So City, Chelsea, Liverpool definitely. Then the same problem, Arsenal or Tottenham, I don’t know.”
Gallas was then asked if Manchester United can cause a challenge for the Champions League places, to which he responded: “Manchester United? I don’t think so, no.”
