According to confirmed reports, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Nathan Ake to join Chelsea this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea have full agreement with Nathan Aké on personal terms. Man City are aware of the situation on the player side, but still waiting to receive the official bid. #CFC

“City want around £40/45m for Aké and plan is to replace him with a new centre back in case he leaves.”

Chelsea and City may reach an agreement of £40m to £45m for Ake.

The 27-year-old centre-back left Chelsea for Bournemouth in 2017 after an initial loan spell before moving to Man City for £40m two years ago.

The Netherlands international saw his game time limited at the Etihad.

Ake couldn’t break into the Man City squad last term, playing in just 14 Premier League games for Pep Guardiola’s side last season.

Ake would reunite with Man City teammate Raheem Sterling next season at Stamford Bridge, with Sterling having also agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
