
Confirmed reports have it that Chelsea are set to announce a deal for Man City star Raheem Sterling.
Sterling has signed a new deal that will see him overtake N’Golo Kante as Chelsea’s highest earner with his £300,000-a-week deal.
Sterling comes to Chelsea with a very rich CV. During his time at City, Sterling won nine trophies, including four Premier League titles.
Sterling helped fire Man City to four league titles, scoring 109 goals in 320 appearances in the Premier League for Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, the England international fell short of winning the Champions League – with Chelsea beating Man City to the Champions League trophy in 2021.
According to reports, the 27-year-old wants to win the Champions League, while he is also determined to compete for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.
Sterling’s move to Chelsea is believed to not be motivated by money but his desire to play every week and battle for major honours.
Sterling won almost everything at Man City, but it was the biggest honour – the Champions League that have eluded him and his manager Pep Guardiola over the past six years.
Thomas Tuchel is said to have played a key role in ensuring Chelsea won the race for Sterling, following a personal pitch from the Blues head coach.
Sterling is understood to view the German as one of the best coaches in world football and he respected his honest approach during talks.
