Chelsea fans have complained about a lack of activity in the summer transfer window for the Blues.
Todd Boehly’s era has started on a slow note in terms of rebuilding a Chelsea squad that’s in major need to reinvestment.
However, all that is set to change.
Confirmed reports have it that Chelsea are set to announce a deal for Man City star Raheem Sterling.
A deal for Sterling is likely to be sealed in the next 24 hours, and a deal could most likely be announced today.
Sterling has signed a new deal that will see him overtake N’Golo Kante as Chelsea’s highest earner with his £300,000-a-week deal.
Sterling comes to Chelsea with a very rich CV. During his time at City, Sterling won nine trophies, including four Premier League titles.
Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hailed the signing of Sterling, but the former Blue insists Chelsea need a goalscorer.
He said: “They need a goalscorer. Sterling’s a great player, a very good player but he’s not an out and out number nine.
“So I think if you’re gonna get Sterling you still need a goalscorer with him.
“We all know about Sterling and what he can do, how good he is, how quick he is and how determined he is, so great signing. But I still think they need a 20+ goalscorer in their squad.”
