Chelsea have been linked with a move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, and one thing is certain about the football icon – he knows where the net is.

At 37, Ronaldo still played a crucial role in Manchester United’s season, and ended up scoring 24 goals in 38 appearances, for a struggling Manchester United side.

Chelsea lacked a goalscorer last season, and the Blues have lacked a goalscorer for some years now.

Meanwhile, United legend Roy Keane had since made a bold prediction about Ronaldo playing in this Chelsea squad.

In a 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Manchester United back in April, Ronaldo scored Manchester United’s equaliser with just one chance, in a game that was totally dominated by Chelsea.

Roy Keane said after the game: “He [Ronaldo] is outstanding.

“It’s the hardest part of the game, putting the ball in the back of the net. That was his only chance tonight. You see the chances Chelsea were creating.

“Imagine if he was in the Chelsea team, he’d probably get 50 goals. He’s in a poor United side who aren’t creating many chances for him and he is still producing.”

Thomas Tuchel had also he’s an admirer of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking about the Portuguese star before facing Juventus last season, he said: “Time will tell, but it isn’t a secret that any team in the world without Cristiano is in some parts of the game a weaker team.

“He is one of the greatest who has ever played this game and he proves it every time he is on the field.

“Now [Ronaldo is] in the Premier League and in the Champions League, so [Juventus] lost a big champion, a big point of reference and a big personality.

“But you can win games and be a strong team without Cristiano Ronaldo. This is also true.”
