Chelsea have been linked with a number of defenders this summer transfer window.

The Blues have to replace the departed Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who left the club for free at the end of last season.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe has been linked with a summer transfer move to Chelsea.

According to reports, Chelsea have reportedly been told that they will have to pay €50m (£43m) if they wish to sign Presnel Kimpembe this summer.

Kimpembe has two years left on his contract with PSG, and so far isn’t keen on extending his contract.

Kimpembe has grown into a top player for PSG since breaking into the team from the academy, but the Frenchman is no longer settled at the club.

The 26-year-old featured made 30 Ligue 1 appearances, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side won the title last season, while he played seven times in the Champions League, as they reached the round of 16.

In total, Kimpembe has played 220 times for PSG, contributing three goals and two assists in the process, since debuting for the club in 2014.

Kimpembe isn’t the only central defender to have been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The likes of Natha Ake, Matthijs de Ligt, Kalidou Koulibaly and Jules Kounde are also Chelsea targets.

22-year-old Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt also appears interested in a move to Chelsea, and has refused to sign a new contract with Juventus.
