Chelsea have been linked with Sevilla defender Jules Kounde and also Leeds United star Raphinha.
However, it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea would clinch any of those deals this summer.
Raphinha seems to be more interested in a move to Barcelona, and reports claim that Barcelona are also interested in signing Jules Kounde.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed some of the comments that have been made by Barcelona president Joan Laporta about some of Chelsea’s targets.
Laporta is confident that Barca would sign some of the club’s targets despite the club’s financial situation.
According to Laporta, Barcelona have the advantage over Chelsea because players want to come to Barcelona.
Barça president Laporta said: “Koundé? Go see Mateu Alemany. When we activate the lever, we will work at a top level.” #FCB
“Koulibaly? I don’t talk about other players. Our advantage is that many players want to come here”, he added.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta said on Raphinha: “Raphinha wants to come at Barça. We have communication and have spoken with Leeds.
“What’s there is that there are other clubs that want Raphinha and are making their proposals.”
Joan Laporta’s arrogance is coming after Thursday’s injection of €200 million into the club’s coffers as a result of the sale of TV rights.
Barcelona now have a few funds to spend around, after ‘selling a part of their future’.
