Leeds star was set to join Arsenal, but Chelsea came into the picture and hijacked the deal for the Brazilian.
According to confirmed reports, Raphinha is now set to become a Chelsea player.
Richarlison was scarcely linked with a move to Chelsea, as the Blues weren’t too keen on the Brazilian.
The Brazil international is now set to join Tottenham, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea also tried to hijack the deal late on before backing out.
Romano tweeted: “Chelsea made an attempt to hijack Richarlison deal before agreement between Everton and Tottenham, in place since this morning for £60m.
“Spurs have full agreement with both EFC and Richarlison on personal terms. Just waiting for medical in Brazil and player signature.”
Chelsea and Leeds have already agreed terms for Raphinha, and the club is expected to meet with his agent Deco for personal terms.
Arsenal were believed to be leading the race for Raphinha and held talks with Leeds United on Tuesday.
However, the Gunners initial offer was rejected by Leeds, before Chelsea came into the race and upped their offer which was immediately accepted by Leeds.
