Report: 2 Chelsea stars return to training ahead of schedule

According to reports, two Chelsea players have returned to base at the club’s training ground ahead of schedule.

Chelsea players have been scheduled to resume training on July 2nd, but Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell have decided to return much earlier than the rest.

Hudson-Odoi missed the three months of last season, while Chilwell had been out since November last year.

The Chelsea players will return to the club amid much changes going on at Stamford Bridge.

A lot of top executives under previous owner Roman Abramovich are vacating their roles at the club.

Petr Cech is the latest to have joined the mass exodus of Chelsea executives.

The Blues legend has stepped down from his role as Technical and Performance Director at Chelsea, as there continues to be a mass exodus of Chelsea board members following Todd Boehly’s takeover of the club.

Cech’s departure follows the exits of Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck, who have both left their roles since Boehly completed his takeover of the club from Roman Abramovich.

In a brief statement, Cech explained his decision to move on.

Cech said: “It has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years.

“With the Club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside.

“I am pleased that the Club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch.”
