Callum Hudson-Odoi isn’t the only Chelsea player wanted by German giants Bayern Munich.
According to Daily Mail, Bayern Munich are eyeing a January loan move for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata with Bayern boss Niko Kovac looking to bolster his offensive options.
The report claims Chelsea will require a £3million loan fee up front as well as half of Morata’s £140,000-a-week wages to be paid before they will consider any deal for the struggling striker.
Daily Mail claim Bayern are wary of meeting Chelsea’s demands for signing Morata due to the player’s inconsistent form for the Blues.
Morata has scored nine goals in 24 appearances so far this season but has struggled for regular game time under Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri left the Spanish striker out of the match day squad for Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
Bayern aren’t the only club linked with a move for Morata as Spanish club Barcelona are reportedly said to be interested in the striker after Munir El Haddadi left Barcelona for Sevilla on Friday.
Luis Suarez is the only No9 at Barcelona currently and Barcelona are said to be interested in signing Morata.
Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde refused to deny Barcelona’s interest in Morata.
Asked about Morata, Barcelona boss Valverde said: “I can only say the same thing — that he’s a great player, that he’s at another team, that we respect that a lot, etc.”
