Chelsea had the opportunity to momentarily go top of the table pending Manchester City’s derby clash against Manchester United, but the Blues were held down to a goalless draw against Everton.

Marco Silva’s side put in a good defenisive showing and were able to restrict the Blues from creating chances despite all the pressure.

Chelsea had 69% possession of the ball, but were only able to hit four shots on target despite all the chances created.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri revealed after the game that he was unhappy with his side’s start to the game as he said that Chelsea started the game slowly in the opening 25 minutes.

Sarri said: “To be honest I didn’t like the first 25 minutes very much. “Like against Crystal Palace we started the game moving the ball very slowly so it was impossible for us to be dangerous and easy for Everton to defend.

“Then we played a good match in the last part of the first half and for 40 minutes in the second half. We were a bit unlucky. I’m not happy of course but we are going the right way.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
