Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has been having a hard time on loan to AC Milan as the 24-year-old is struggling since moving to the Italian club during the summer.
At some point in the season, Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso complained about the Chelsea midfielder.
According to Gattuso, Bakayoko had failed to catch up with the team’s tactics and will need to do more in training.
“Bakayoko needs to be helped, as he is struggling,” said Gattuso.
“The tactics haven’t been drilled into his head yet and evidently it’s my fault, we need to do more work with him in training.
“He has been here for two months and we haven’t yet been able to get him to understand the movements.
“It is our duty to improve him as a player, because he does have a lot of quality and we’re not finding that yet.”
However, Bakayoko had a good game in AC Milan’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Thursday night, and he has been hailed for his performance.
The 24-year-old is usually a regular in Gazzetta dello Sport’s “The Worst” section after a game, but the Italian sports journal rated Bakayoko highly after his performance on Thursday.
Bakayoko played a role in Suso’s equalizing goal, and was hailed for his performance.
AC Milan have the option to make it a permanent deal in January for £30.5m but it appears unlikely that Gennaro Gattuso will sign the Frenchman.
And now, Calcio Mercato claim that Fulham could make an offer in January for Bakayoko if AC Milan rip up their loan deal.
The struggling Premier League side are hoping to add more quality to their side as they sit rooted to the foot of the table.
