Fans will still bask in the euphoria of our last minute draw against Manchester United at home last Saturday, even for months to come, seeing as it helped us preserve our precious unbeaten record. With that result, we remain only one of three teams in England’s top flight to have not lost a game this season. It’s a huge one, and we’re a part of history, but the manner we seemed to drop off, and allow United back into the game on Saturday will also be a reason for concern among some Chelsea fans.

We were one nil up, and we’re perfectly poised to snatch a win, but somehow, we threw it away, and put ourselves in a position we almost would have regretted. Two defensive errors saw us take in two goals, and we trailed for most of the second half. It would have ended that way, but for Ross Barkley’s last gasp equaliser.

How did we concede those two goals, having played well in the first half, and why has it continued to be a problem for us to truly break down defensive sides?

Like Newcastle, Southampton and West Ham, Manchester United came with the plan of defending, and possibly snatch a win, and it would have worked. They held us back from breaking through – not even Hazard could do a thing to their defender.

Our goal came from a header from Antonio Rudiger, and a last gasp effort that was smashed in from close range by Ross Barkley. Chelsea didn’t really create chances after going down and the team couldn’t play Sarri-ball any longer and decided to lunge balls forward, and Sarri needs to look into the reasons this has continued to happen despite our beautiful build up.

Our defending has also got to be sorted soon. There seems to be moments where shoulders just drop, and they forget themselves, but other than these issues, we have been perfect.

Despite the draw on Saturday, we will take the positive that we are still unbeaten, and we’ll go into other coming fixtures still high on confidence.
