Chelsea star Eden Hazard was badly handled by Manchester United players in the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Hazard was fouled five times during the game – more than any other player on the pitch, with Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic both receiving yellow cards for fouls on the Chelsea star.
Hazard went down so many times in agony during the match, and reports now claim that the Premier League’s top scorer might be nursing an injury.
Hazard needed treatment after hurting his ankle at one point in the game, but according to The Telegraph, Hazard suffered a back problem that did not manifest itself fully until Sunday morning that has caused concern.
Hazard reportedly woke up with restricted movement and he told friends after the match that he felt he could not accelerate properly in the second half.
The injury is believed to be a minor one, but Hazard’s availability for Sunday’s clash against Burnley is still in doubts. The 27-year-old will be handed a rest for Thursday’s Europa League clash against BATE Borisov as he recuperates ahead of Chelsea’s upcoming league games.
