It was a thrilling London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as Chelsea ran out 3-2 victors over Arsenal.
It was a scary game indeed as the Gunners drew level after Chelsea had gone 2-0 up, and new Arsenal boss Unai Emery was an unhappy man.
After the full-time whistle was blown, he immediately headed down the tunnel without shaking hands with Maurizio Sarri – as is customary in the Premier League.
Emery seems to have done the same thing at the Emirates after their defeat to Manchester City last weekend as he did not shake Pep Guardiola’s hand.
However, he has now revealed that he spoke to the manager after he went into the tunnel.
Asked if he had avoided a handshake because he was annoyed about the defeat, Emery laughed and said: “No, I waited in the dressing room to give him the hand, no problem.”
