Frank Lampard was part of the Chelsea team that lifted the Champions League in 2012 after the Blues defied all odds to become European champions.

In 2012, Chelsea defeated Barcelona 3-2 over two legs to reach the finals of the competition, and now after a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, the Blues need to be at their best at the Camp Nou to get a victory and qualify for the second round of the Champions League.

However, Lampard is afraid of a certain man called Lionel Messi ahead of this fixture.

“Barcelona will be completely different task [to Crystal Palace],” Lampard told Match of the Day.

“With my Chelsea head on, they have the team that can go there and defend and try to get goals on the break.

“But going to the Nou Camp with that man Lionel Messi will be very tough.”

Lampard should recall that Messi had never had it easy against Chelsea, neither has Barcelona.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
