With Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud struggling to score goals for Chelsea this season, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri might need the club to sign a striker in the January transfer window.
According to Football London via Bleacher Report, Chelsea are interested in a January move for Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek.
The report claims Chelsea have been quoted a fee of about £52.8 million for the 23-year-old striker by Genoa.
Piatek joined Genoa from Cracovia this summer for €4 million (£3.5 million) and has impressed in the Series A, scoring nine times in just seven appearances. Across all competitions, he has scored 13 goals in 8 matches.
The 23-year-old striker has made a total of 10 appearances for club and country since the beginning of August and failed to score in only one of those.
Premier League rivals Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested in the young striker.
