Chelsea star Eden Hazard is having a brilliant season, and the Belgium captain has been outstanding since the World Cup where he captained Belgium to third position.
Hazard is even being tipped for the Ballon d’Or because of his form, and the 27-year-old has been hailed by many for his form.
However, Hazard will have one year left on his Chelsea contract at the end of the season, and he’s strongly being chased by Real Madrid who see him as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Hazard hasn’t hidden his desire to play for the Spanish giants and has recently revealed that he might not sign a new contract at Chelsea.
“I don’t want to say, ‘yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing,” Hazard said.
“I want what’s good for me, but I want what’s good for the club because the club has given me everything.
“So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay.
“It is a hard decision. It is my future.
“Real Madrid are the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today.
“It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club.
“We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day, I don’t have time.
“But we will talk about my future soon.”
Brazil and Barcelona legend Rivaldo has urged Hazard to make the move to Spain, and he even believes Hazard will be a better player in Spain.
“The Belgian attacker is a great player and could be a very good option for his ‘dream club’ Real Madrid in the next transfer window,” Rivaldo said speaking to Betfair.
“Hazard was excellent for Belgium at the World Cup and has started the new Premier League season very well.
“For that reason, Real Madrid should be considering his signing, especially given their recent poor form and Hazard’s stated desire to play at the Bernabeu.
“This kind of move could be good for the club and fans, as the arrival of a top player would give a much needed boost after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
“Hazard is very talented, scores goals and assists a lot, he’s a spectacular player who I particularly appreciate.
“In my opinion, Hazard could play even better at Real Madrid than in England as Spanish football gives a little more freedom to the players.
“So if he is already producing masterpieces in the Premier League, he could get even better in Spain.”
