Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata scored his second goal in a week as Chelsea beat Southampton 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

31 passes were made in the build-up to Alvaro Morata’s goal for Chelsea against Southampton and it’s the most of any goal in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri hailed the goal as his favourite because that’s the way he wants Chelsea to play.

Asked if it’s his type of football, Sarri said: “Something like this, something like this.

“We moved the ball very quick. I think one touch, sometimes two. We arrived at the goal so easy. I think it’s my football.”

Asked if the goal is his favourite, Sarri added: “Sure, of course because I can see my way of football in this situation.”

Morata has been low in confidence this season after struggling in his first season in the Premier League. Scoring in consecutive games will definitely help his confidence.

Asked if Morata’s confidence is back, Sarri said: “I am really very happy with him, for him.

“It is always very important for the striker to score, to have scored in the Europa League and to have scored today.

“But it was very important the performance. Alvaro has played very well in the Europa League and today in the last 30 minutes. I think we can restart easily now.”

The sky is Blue… Chelsea all the way! Giroud and Morata needs to work smarter, otherwise Chelsea needs a vibrant striker!

All those Chelsea’s fans seeking to have Morata moved in January are in serious error. Morata confidence will definitely be restored and we shall all hail him for what he will bring to Chelsea FC.
