With around 20 minutes to go at Anfield, Chelsea needed at least one goal to get back on level terms, and stand a chance of taking the game to extra time. It seemed almost impossible, especially with the nature of the opposition, but the team definitely had other plans.

Emerson scored shortly to put us level, and we were looking to go on to the last minute of the game with a point at least, then showed that man Eden Hazard.

The Belgian’s solo effort put us in front in a few minutes, and would go on to be the reason we’re in the next round of the league cup.

It was of course a beauty of a goal, but it wouldn’t be the first time we see Hazard in such state. He has always been the man he is. Maybe he’s a little sharper this season, but he’s still the same man.

Hazard’s goal on Wednesday night has generated a lot of conversations on social media, with some people hailing him as the current “best footballer on the planet”, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s not every player that has the same abilities the man does – and despite entering the game with a little over 30 minutes to go, and still influenced the game enough to earn the “Man of the match” award yet again.

Hazard deserves all the love and respect he has gotten so far this season because he has worked  very hard for it, and it’s little wonder that Maurizio Sarri and Gianfranco has hailed him as the best.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated top football honors for a very decent number of years, but if there’s someone ready and good enough to step up to their plate, it has to be Eden Hazard.

The man is literally out of this world, and it’s sometimes unbelievable to watch what he does in a Chelsea shirt.

What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
