It is no longer news that we drew The Hammers 0 – 0 at their home on Sunday. It was a game that had us on the edge, but also had very little clear cut chances for both sides. Possession was ours, but West Ham wasn’t in the mood to concede, or lose another game.

Winning the game is what everyone expected, not only because we’ve been on fire thus far, but our football has been great and we have outplayed teams. A win against the Hammers would have been perfect for us, and would have put us back as joint top of the table, and certainly would have given more mental boost to the players.

Now we go into midweek action, where we’ll take on current table leaders, Liverpool. Their win against Southampton means that they’ll probably be the more spirited side than we are, and of course, will be looking to get another win to keep their 100% record going this season.

But of course, again, it was only a draw we had, and not a loss, so it’s not that bad, knowing that we were the better side. A few encouraging words and pep talk from Sarri should prepare the lads for our next opponents.

We will be playing Liverpool twice in the next week, losing anyone is not even an option. We have to win, to keep our reputation and momentum going as well as it should this season.

What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
