Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to make changes for Chelsea’s Europa League clash against PAOK on Thursday in Greece.
The Italian revealed during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday that he would make just 4-5 changes to the team that beat Cardiff City on Saturday.
Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea this season while Callum Hudson-Odoi last played in Chelsea’s 2-0 Community Shield loss to Manchester City.
Both players are highly rated at the club and fans are expecting them to start in the Europa League opener on Thursday.
However, Sarri has hinted the duo might not start against PAOK on Thursday but insists they would have opportunities to start in the future.
“For Odoi I don’t know. In this position I am also in the last match played Pedro and Hazard but I have also players like Willian, Moses and so I don’t know tomorrow if it is time for Odoi or somebody else,” Sarri said.
“In the future there will be sure it is possible for him but Ampadu, Odoi, Loftus they are the future of the squad but now we are 28 so I don’t know if tomorrow is the right time for Odoi.”
