Finally, the long-expected appointment of Maurizio Sarri has been confirmed by the club. The gloom of Conte’s reign can now be replaced by new and exciting changes expected as Sarri takes over at Chelsea. But how does this deal makes sense for Chelsea?

Here the 3 reasons

CHANGE OF PLAYING STYLE IS IMMINENT UNDER SARRI’S WATCH:

For a long time, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has always been obsessed with attacking and entertaining football to the point that he targeted Current Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola after his Barca reign. Ex-Blues manager, Carlo Ancelotti once spoke about how the Russian Oligarch bemoaned Chelsea’s lack of identity on the playing field and demanded that from him when he was appointed as Chelsea coach in the summer of the 2009/10 season. Clearly this scenarios show that it’s been a long time coming for Chelsea to deviate from our reactive and defensive style of play into a proactive, attacking and entertaining style. With Sarri, Chelsea and Abramovich have appointed the right coach to do so with his transformation of Napoli as evidence.

PLAYERS TRANSFORMATION WILL BE EVIDENT:

If you want to know more about Chelsea’s new manager, then you can go to Empoli or Napoli and ask the players he has coached. Better still, you can ask incoming player, Jorginho, and surely he will give a glowing report. The likes of Dries Mertens, Koulibaly, Jorginho, Insigne and many other have moved unto a different level in their career thanks to Sarri’s magical wand. The obvious case is that of Mertens who was transformed from an average winger into a blazing free-scoring centre forward. The same will surely be the case with regards to Alvaro Morata and the rest of the Chelsea team.

GIVE YOUTH A CHANCE:

Sarri’s way of combining youth with experience is testament to the successes of his football ideas. The likes of Jorginho, Hysaj, and many more are beneficiaries in this regard. With Chelsea’s academy crying out for a manager to give youths a chance, then it is just the time it will happen as Sari will surely maximize Chelsea’s wealth of potentials.

Let’s hope for the best. Cheers!
