Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Napoli star Jorginho. The midfielder is currently in London to finalise a deal that will see him become a Chelsea player.
It is expected that the Italian will form a wonderful partnership with N’Golo Kante in the base of Chelsea midfield as Chelsea seek to rediscover their place at the top of English football.
It is clear to see why Pep Guardiola was keen on signing Jorginho – his passing abilities make him stand out from his peers.
Jorginho was the best passer of the ball in the Serie A last season, and he successfully passed the ball 3197 times.
Former Roma star Radja Nainggolan had once hailed Jorginho as his most difficult opponent because his passing abilities.
“My toughest opponent? I’d say Jorginho,” Nainggolan said when asked a year ago who he rated as Serie A’s most difficult opponent.
“He always plays in small spaces, with one-metre passes. It’s difficult to keep up with him or to try to cut out his passes.
“You get very tired because he distributes the ball very quickly yet he remains practically still.”
