Tuesday was regarded as a key day to decide whether Maurizio Sarri will be the next Chelsea manager, and so far reports have been thin regarding that.
However, Alfredo Pedulla has confirmed that the summit “went well” and it served as a “confirmation” of Chelsea’s position.
He reported: “We told you that today in London it would be a key day for the future Chelsea’s coach. The summit – with the presence of Ramadani – went well. Confirmation about the position that Abramovich’s club has been holding for days.
“Chelsea has reiterated that Maurizio Sarri is the best choice as manager, the agreements are for a three-year contract period. And now the negotiation will be about bureaucratic chores, with the possible involvement of Napoli to find the agreement on the resolution. Agreement that, as explained, could also come with agreements that involve the the market: from David Luiz to Hysaj and Albiol.”
Pedulla then called for patience as he revealed it’s “not a situation of two or three days”.
