Two Chelsea players suffered head injuries during France’s friendly with the USA on Saturday.
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and Chelsea defender Matt Miazga, who spent last season on loan at Vitesse, suffered head injuries after a clash of heads.
Giroud was attacking a corner when he collided with Miazga. Both players went down hurt and were covered in blood.
Giroud was treated for about five minutes by France’s medical team and had to be replaced by Ousmane Dembele. Matt Miazga was also withdrawn from play shortly after.
