Sunday is the grand finale of the 2017/18 Premier League season. Despite Chelsea’s inconsistencies, we enjoyed some fairytale moments that are worth reliving.

Here is my top 5 best moments for Chelsea:

Chelsea’s start to the new league season was not ideal. A defeat against Arsenal in the traditional season ‘Community Shield’ opener was appalling. To complicate issues was an unexpected opening day defeat to Burnley which was disastrous. Then next for Chelsea was Spurs at Wembley. But Chelsea triumphed courtesy of a brace by Marcos Alonso after an own goal by Michy Batshuayi had drawn Spurs level. The victory was sweet because it was Spurs: a club we love to win and hate.

After suffering strokes of backlash from the media as a result of a poor outing against Roma in the Champions League, up next was a meeting with former Blues boss, Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side coming to the Bridge for an epic battle. The added spice to the clash was the battle of the strikers: Morata vs Lukaku and the managers: Conte vs Jose. On this occasion, Chelsea won thanks to a goal by Morata which dealt Jose and United a third defeat in a row at the Bridge.

This game is a true highlight of Chelsea’s true attacking prowess. A 4-0 win against Chris Hugton’s team was expected, but the story of the game was the dazzling display of Chelsea’s triumvirate of Hazard, Batshuayi and Willian. The best moment of the game was a beautiful goal by Willian, orchestrated by the three players with nice flicks and deft touches that tore the heart of the Brighton defence.

This game showed the good and bad of Chelsea. A poor display for an hour in the game was riling enough for the Chelsea fans at the Saint Mary’s as we were 2-0 down. A blend of tactical brilliance by Conte and a superb display by Olivier Giroud brought Chelsea back from the dead to win 3-2.

Chelsea headed into this game needing a win to keep our slim hopes of Champions League qualification alive. Just for the records: Jurgen Klopp was yet to lose a game against Conte. Liverpool’s attack was fearsome and Chelsea’s scoring issue was worrisome. And against all odds, Chelsea recorded a nervy narrow 1-0 win thanks to the in-form Olivier Giroud.

You can drop your best moments of this league season in the comment zone. Let’s relive the moments. Cheers!
