Chelsea booked a place in the FA Cup final against Manchester United by bagging a 2-0 victory over Southampton at Wembley on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, it took just 30 seconds after the re-start for Chelsea to break the deadlock thanks to Olivier Giroud’s brilliant solo goal.
The Frenchman received the ball from Eden Hazard and used his strength to dribble past three defenders and flailing keeper Alex McCarthy to poke the ball home.
But Giroud’s goal came so quickly after the break, some substitutes and staff hadn’t even have gotten back to their seats.
Southampton players including Manolo Gabbiadini, Nathan Redmond and Guido Carrillo watched the goal on a small screen in the tunnel, and Gabbiadini was seen shaking his head after witnessing his side go 1-0 down so early into the second half.
