Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes Antonio Conte will throw everything he’s got into winning an FA Cup before leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.
“I just think Conte will purely focus on, the League is gone and this is his one opportunity he’s not going to let it pass him by,” Sutton told Evening Standard.
“He will want to leave Chelsea on a high, he’ll put out as strong a team as possible without even contemplating what is going on in the League.”
Sutton added: “Conte can leave with his head held high, having won a trophy albeit after a disappointing Premier league season.
“I think that would be a fitting way for Conte to finish at Chelsea, with a trophy, he’s a likeable character, he’s all in and intense so it would be fitting if he could leave having won it and he’ll be going all the way to do that.”
