In the Premier League, Kenedy started in Newcastle’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal. The Brazilian was lively for the Magpies and nearly scored Newcastle’s third only to see his effort hit the bar. Ruben Loftus-Cheek featured for Crystal Palace in their 3-2 win over Brighton while Tammy Abraham came on as a substitute in Swansea’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
In the Bundesliga, Michy Batshuayi was stretchered off late in the game as Borussia Dortmund went down 2-0 at second-place Schalke. In Belgium, Victorien Angban played for Waasland-Beveren who were beaten 2-0 by Leuven. In Russia, Mario Pasalic came on for Spartak Moscow in a 2-1 defeat to Ural and, in Serbia, Danilo Pantic lost by the same scoreline with Partizan in the derby against Red Star. In Turkey, defender Kenneth Omeruo helped Kasimpasa keep a clean-sheet in their 2-0 win over Kardemir Karabuk.
In the Championship, Lucas Piazon featured in Fulham’s 1-0 win over Reading on Tuesday and 1-1 against Brentford at the weekend.
Fikayo Tomori started for Hull City in their 5-0 win over Burton Albion on Tuesday with Ola Aina coming off the bench in the dying stages. Tomori did not feature in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, but Aina and Michael Hector were both in defence.
Goalkeeper Jamal Blackman was back in goal for Sheffield United after serving a three-match ban, with the Blades drawing 1-1 against Millwall at Bramall Lane. Kasey Palmer featured in Derby’s 2-0 win over Wolves on Wednesday night and Derby’s 3-1 defeat at Burton.
Jake Clarke-Salter came off the bench in Sunderland’s 2-2 draw at Reading on Saturday. Jeremie Boga started up front for Birmingham City in a 3-1 defeat at Bristol City.
In League One, Ike Ugbo scored in MK Dons 2-1 loss to a Doncaster side featuring Jordan Houghton. Todd Kane played right-back for Oxford United in a 2-0 win over Southend and a 1-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town, while Jay Dasilva started in Charlton’s 1-0 loss against Scunthorpe.
In League Two, goalkeeper Bradley Collins kept a clean sheet for Forest Green Rovers in their 1-0 win against Cheltenham. In the National League, Nathan Baxter was in goal for Woking in a 2-0 loss to Bromley and a 2-1 reverse at Maidenhead.
