Newcastle United want to sign Kenedy from Chelsea on a permanent basis this summer after the Brazilian’s impressive performances since joining on loan in January according to a report on Standard Sport.
Kenedy has started more league games for Newcastle (6) than in the previous two-and-a-half years he has been at Chelsea (5).
Chelsea rejected Newcastle’s request to include an option to buy the 22-year-old as part of the loan negotiations in January.
Newcastle will reportedly seek to hold more talks with Chelsea over a permanent transfer for Kenedy, who scored twice against Southampton on Saturday.
Kenedy joined Chelsea from Brazilian club Fluminense in 2015 for £6.3million.
