Chelsea were by far the better side in this game but there was a nervy end to the match with Patrick van Aanholt scoring a late goal for Palace.

See how the players fared in this game:

Courtois: Didn’t have anything to do in the first-half, but was a bit busier in the second period and conceded a late goal. 6/10

Cahill: Comfortable in the defence and had a good showing. 7/10

Christensen: Comfortable showing in the middle of the defence and helped eased our passing from the back. 7/10

Azpilicueta: solid show on the right side of the game and had a tough battle against Zaha after he came on. 7/10

Kante: We surely missed his energy in our last league game and he showed his importance to the team. 7.5/10

Fabregas: Was very influential in midfield and started the move for Chelsea’s second goal. 6.5/10

Zappacosta: Provided a good outlet on the right flank especially in the first half and forced an own goal for Chelsea’s second goal. 7/10

Alonso: Was a good outlet on the left flank and a good run led to Chelsea’s second goal. 7/10

Willian: Continued his fine form and was by far the game’s most exciting player. Opened the scoring, was involved in the second goal and his direct runs were too hot for Palace to handle. 8.5/10

Hazard: If he had been a bit more selfish, he might have gotten a goal. Was involved in the buildup to the second goal. 7/10

Giroud: Very unlucky not to score a goal today. Hit the woodwork and had a ball cleared on the line by James Tomkins. Very good performance. 7/10

Subs

Morata: came on for Giroud but didn’t offer much. 5/10

Bakayoko: Came on late for Fabregas.

Pedro: Replaced Hazard late on.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
