Venue: Etihad Stadium

Chelsea face an uphill task in Sunday’s away game against Manchester City, as anything short of a Chelsea win is a bad result in Chelsea’s quest to qualify for the Champions League next season.

With a game less, Chelsea are five points behind Tottenham and seven points behind Liverpool, a huge reason why Chelsea must go to the Etihad for a win.

However, beating City at the Etihad wouldn’t be an easy feat as Pep Guardiola’s men have been on fire, having only lost a game all season long.

In City’s last six league games, they’ve gotten four wins, a draw and have lost once, while Chelsea have lost three times, won two and drawn one in that timeframe.

Chelsea have already lost once to Manchester City this season in the first leg at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues were able to beat City home and away last season.

City have been extraordinary at the Etihad, as they have won 13 successive Premier League home games, scoring at least twice in each. However, City’s only victory in their last four home league fixtures against Chelsea was 3-0 in August 2015.

City’s defence can be exploited as they have only kept two clean sheets in their last nine home league matches.

The dangerman Chelsea defence must watch out for is Sergio Aguero, who has scored five goals in his last four Premier League games against Chelsea. Also, Eden Hazard has scored four goals and assisted four in his last seven games against Manchester City.

This game promises to be a huge battle, but it’s one Chelsea can still win.
