There are different legends to have come out of Chelsea Football Club, but the likes of John Terry and Frank Lampard aren’t just legends for the club but are on a different level and have been described by many as the greatest to have played for the club.
Eden Hazard has been a wonderful signing since he joined Chelsea in 2012 from Lille. He has scored 87 goals in 284 games for Chelsea and helped the club win two Premier League titles. The Belgian forward has been Antonio Conte‘s stand-out player this season with 15 goals and four assists to his name, and his form could well attract the attention of Real Madrid.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp tends to think that Hazard is already on the level of Terry and Lampard even if he decides to leave the club at the end of the season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “His levels are so high. I don’t know what the future of Eden Hazard will be.
“But I think the Chelsea fans – once he’s gone – will put him as one of the greats, alongside John Terry and Frank Lampard. He’s been amazing for English football.
“I do fear that he leaves in the summer, I have a feeling that Real Madrid will come in for him.
“You’re looking at a player who’s producing special moments every time he gets on the field – he’s at that level now.”
