Andreas Christensen has grown from an academy product who is unsure of his Chelsea shirt to a very key defender in Antonio Conte’s 3-man backline.
In the young Dane’s absence, Chelsea’s defence was woeful and collapsed thereby conceding seven goals against Bournemouth and Watford.
Upon his return, Chelsea kept a clean sheet, and Conte was happy with the performance of the 21-year-old.
He said: “We are talking about a player only 21 but is showing great maturity and calm and personality. He has to continue in this way.
“For sure he needs to improve with the ball to find more solution with the ball. He has the right potential to do this. We are talking about a player who is only 21 but for us and me he has a brilliant future.”
