Chelsea returned to winning ways in style as the Blues won West Brom 3-0 on Monday night at Stamford Bridge.

Here are what we learned from the game:

  1. CHELSEA FANS WANT ANTONIO CONTE TO STAY

Chelsea fans showed their support for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over West Brom amid speculations surrounding Conte’s future as Chelsea boss. It was a clear message to the board that the fans are behind the Italian who won the Premier League title in his first season as Chelsea boss. It was really nice to see Chelsea fans back the Italian.

  1. ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN IS CHELSEA’S MOST IMPORTANT DEFENDER

Chelsea shipped in seven goals in two matches without Andreas Christensen on the pitch and had our first clean sheet in three games on his return to the team. Chelsea conceded three goals against Bournemouth after Christensen got replaced in the first half of the match for picking up an injury. The Dane missed Chelsea’s next game against Watford and Chelsea conceded four goals. Christensen might be only 21 years old but he brings calmness to Chelsea’s backline whenever he plays.

  1. GIROUD IMPRESSED ON HIS FIRST CHELSEA START

He might have misplaced some passes and not gotten on the scoresheet but Olivier Giroud would be happy with his Chelsea home debut. Guardian’s Barney Ronay called Giroud a “more handsome Diego Costa” after his performance against West Brom. Giroud provided a reference point for Chelsea’s attack and made life difficult for West Brom’s defenders.

  1. MOSES WAS EXCELLENT

Chelsea right wingback Victor Moses hasn’t been consistent in his performances for Chelsea this season as he was when we won the title last season. Against West Brom on Monday night, Moses was back to his best, pressing high, being comfortable with the ball, excellent in defence and also getting himself on the scoresheet. The Nigerian should be happy with his performance against West Brom and Chelsea fans would be hoping to see more of that performance every week.

  1. HAZARD IS ON FIRE

Eden Hazard’s brace against West Brom means the Belgian has now scored three goals in his last two games for Chelsea. Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea and every Chelsea fan would be hoping he signs a new deal after watching yet another classic Hazard performance against West Brom. According to whoscored.com, Hazard created five goalscoring chances against West Brom, the same number West brom created as a team.
