The pain of our shock 4-1 loss to Watford may have gradually reduced, but a lot of people will be watching with keenness to see what we do in our next game. Is this the moment where we lose it all, and capitulate or is it when we pick up the pieces and keep going?

That is what makes Monday night’s fixture against West Brom an interesting one. It is a game of great significance and magnitude, and could go a long way in shaping the rest of our season.

West Brom might be 20th on the table but they are never an easy opposition to beat, but considering how much we have at stake, I do not expect less than a win come Monday.

Tottenham are only a point away. Only one loss is all it takes for them to overtake us on the table. It would be a horrendous thing to finish the season 4th after last term’s heroics.

Conte’s job is on the line too. Unless he doesn’t like life in London anymore, he cannot have another loss on his record at Chelsea this season. We have only won two games all 2018; that is very abysmal, and needs to change on Monday. This is the time to get serious and fight for our season.

United are still six points ahead of us. We can’t allow it get beyond that. Winning on Monday would a good start.

What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
