KICK-OFF: MONDAY, 05 FEBRUARY 2018. 20:00 GMT

VENUE: VICARAGE ROAD

It’s the only game yet to be played in Matchweek 26, as Watford host Chelsea in a crucial Monday night fixture.

Watford are 11th on the table, while Chelsea are 4th and in need of a win to climb up to third as the race for top four spot intensifies.

23 points separate both teams, but this game promises to be a tough one.

Watford have been in poor form and have struggled for wins, as they last won a league game in December 2017. In their last six league games, the Hornets have recorded just a win with three defeats and two draws.

Chelsea’s 3-0 home defeat against Bournemouth was a shocker for all, and the Blues will be seeking to return to winning ways, having won three games, drawn two and lost one of their last six.

In the first leg at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea came from 2-1 down to win the game 4-2, with Michy Batshuayi the hero on the day.

Chelsea have won their last three games against Watford and are unbeaten against the Hornets in the last 13 games. The last time Watford defeated Chelsea was a 1-0 victory on September 18, 1999.

All three of Chelsea’s Premier League goals at Vicarage Road have come in the 80th minute or later – a 92nd-minute winner by Salomon Kalou in 2007, and goals by Michy Batshuayi and Diego Costa in 2016.

Watford have the worst home record in the top flight, with 13 points from 12 matches and a goal difference of minus nine, and they have also dropped 16 points from winning positions this campaign, the most in the division.

Chelsea’s form this year has been called into question as the Blues have won only two of their nine competitive matches in 2018.

My Prediction: Both teams might be struggling at the moment, but Chelsea will beat the Hornets. Watford 1 vs 3 Chelsea

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
