Azpilicueta: Solid captain’s display and was energetic to cover some defensive lapses. 7/10

Christensen: Did okay before his head injury that saw him taken off around the hour mark. 6/10

Rudiger: Rugged defending from the German and was resolute in defence. 7/10

Kante: Good game stealing balls and protecting his backline. Chelsea’s second goal came as a result of his breaking opposition play. 7.5/10

Bakayako: Had a good game as he ran tirelessly to make sure Chelsea’s midfield wasn’t overran by a tireless Brighton side. 7/10

Alonso: Was decent today and endured lots of pressure on the left flank. Taken off for Zappacosta for the last 15 minutes of the game. 6/10

Moses: Had a good game supporting the attack and recovering to cover the right flank. His composure and ball control to score Chelsea’s fourth goal was excellent. Would claim the assist for Chelsea’s first goal. 7.5/10

Willian: Justified his start with a wonderful goal and an assist for Eden Hazard. Was brilliant all game long and a handful for Brighton’s defence. 8.5/10

Hazard: Definitely the man of the match, and his dribbling and runs was just too much for the opposition. Scored a brace to help kill the game. 9/10

Batshuayi: Didn’t get on the scoresheet, but you can’t fault his desire. Got an assist for Willian’s goal and had some good moments. 7/10
