Antonio Conte used the 3-4-3 system to much effect last season as the Blues overcame a poor start to the season and rose from seventh on the table in September to win the Premier League following a winning streak that lasted 13 games.
The 3-4-3 system have looked poor this season and has opened Chelsea’s midfield and defence.
Conte has now set the team up with a 3-5-2 system which has given the team good victories against Manchester United and now West Brom, and Conte has admitted that the formation has come to stay.
He said: “This season I think we’re changing something to find a new balance, a new solidity, to have a good balance when we are attacking and when we are defending.
“I hope to continue to improve. This is the second game we finished with a clean sheet and we have to continue in this way.”
