Chelsea fans have taken pretty well to Spain international Alvaro Morata, who joined the Blues from Real Madrid during the summer.
The Spaniard hit a hatrick against Stoke today and was celebrated by the Chelsea fans.
Chelsea fans were criticised for a new song about the striker against Leicester City that implied anti-Semitic slurs, and the chant was condemned by Morata and the club. However, the Blues supporters now have a new song for the summer signing and it’s one that every Blue would like. And of course, it will spark a rivalry between Morata and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Sung to the same tune of the former song, the Morata chant goes: “Alvaro, woaaaaah, Alvaro, wooooaaah. He comes from sunny Spain, he’s better than Harry Kane.”
Morata now has six goals in six games for Chelsea and will go into the Atletico Madrid game on Wednesday full of confidence.
