Kick-off: Tuesday, 12 September, 2017. 18:45 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are back in the Champions League and will start their quest to win the Champions League with a home game against Azerbaijan champions Qarabag.

Chelsea have played four league games this season, lost one and won three.

For Qarabag, they have won their opening three league games and came through three rounds of European qualifying, and are the first Azerbaijani team to reach the Champions League group stages.

This is the first competitive game between Chelsea and Qarabag. The only time an English side have faced an Azerbaijani side was when Tottenham played Qarabag in the 2015-16 Europa League group stages, a game Spurs won both legs (3-1 at home, 1-0 in Baku).

This is Chelsea’s 15th Champions League campaign, the third most for an English club after Manchester United (21) and Arsenal (19). The Blues are also the last English club to win the Champions League (2012).

Chelsea have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League 13 times in their previous 14 appearances.

Chelsea have lost only one of their past 13 Champions League group games, a 2-1 defeat away at Porto in September 2015 (W9 D3).

Expect goals from Chelsea tonight, as the Blues have also scored in each of their last 24 group games at Stamford Bridge.

My Prediction: Chelsea will win this game even though Antonio Conte has stressed that he would be rotating his squad.

Any team Conte sends out today should be capable of taking all three points. Chelsea 3 vs 0 Azerbaijan

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it’s a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I’d rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
