Chelsea have released a statement telling their fans to stop singing the song coined for Alvaro Morata as it sends an offensive message to Tottenham.

Morata snubbed a move to Tottenham and rather joined Chelsea which caused Blues fans to form the song: “Morata ooh, he signed from Real Madrid, he hates the f***ing y**s, Morata ooh.”

The Blues fans have apparently been chanting the following for the Spanish striker since he joined from Real Madrid in the summer.

However, Chelsea have released a statement, thus: “Not acceptable at all. Alvaro does not want to be linked with the song and the club want Chelsea fans to stop singing that song immediately.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
