Kick-off: Sunday, August 27, 2017. 12:30 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

It’s Match Day 3, and the Blues will host the Toffees this afternoon at Stamford Bridge – a game where we’d be expecting lots of fireworks.

One point separate Everton and Chelsea; Everton have four points from three games and Chelsea have three points from two games.

Everton currently sit 8th on the log and Chelsea 12th (prior to Sunday kick-off), and both teams will be aiming to climb higher up the table with wins.

Chelsea lost to Burnley 3-2 on the opening day of the season, and defeated Tottenham 2-1 at the Wembley Stadium last Sunday. For Everton, they won Stoke 2-1 in the opening day of the season and drew 1-1 with Tottenham last weekend.

Ronald Koeman and his men will be coming back to Stamford Bridge still remembering the 5-0 humiliation they suffered at the Bridge last season. Chelsea even defeated Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park last season, meaning Everton didn’t score a goal against the Blues last season.

In the last six meetings between the two sides, Chelsea have won three and Everton two, with one ending in a draw.

Chelsea have been dominant at the Bridge against Everton and the last time the Blues suffered a home defeat to the Toffees was on November 26 1994, a 1-0 loss – an unbeaten 22-match home run against Everton.

Chelsea have won seven of their last 10 Premier League meetings with Everton.

Chelsea have never lost their opening two home fixtures of a top-flight season.

Chelsea will be without the suspended captain Gary Cahill, who sits out the second match of his three-game ban, and Eden Hazard isn’t expected to feature as well.

My prediction: It won’t be easy but Chelsea will carry the day. Chelsea 2 vs 1 Everton

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
